The permission can post without approval is a user/group-forum permission. No distinction is made between a topic starting post and a reply.I think we want to moderate new topic posts but not replies to existing topic posts. I'm looking at the advanced settings but I don't know if the role "On Moderation Queue", with an advanced setting of No for Can Start New Topics, will do that. And I'm hopeful that it would just affect the selected forum, not all forums. So for a specific group (Registered Users) and a specific forum, can I require moderation for a new topic but not for replies to topics?
The permission can start new topics is also a user/group-forum permission and a NO will prevent that user from starting a new topic, unless he's member of another group having a YES (YES overrides NO but NEVER overrides YES)
